Week 4: For being Happy, Happy & Happy!!!!!

This week, I'm thankful for...

1. The unexpected rendezvous that I had on Monday. :)

2. The totally unexpected by looooooong chat that I had with an old friend. :)

3. The 'Burrrrrn' incident!!! It made me laugh a lot... and I got a blog post out of it! What more do I want from life???

4. Sandeep's results!!!!!!! After the efforts he put, he deserved this sooner! But better late than never!

I have never beeen sooo happy even when I have achieved something, but I can't begin to explain how extremely overjoyed I was and I still am!!!

5. Being able to surprise my brother on his birthday and the extremely wonderful and meaningful conversation that I had with him and my other cousin all through the night - till 5.30 in the morning! :)

Week 3: For Girl Company, Temple Visits and Live Music.

This week, I am thankful for...

1. Being able to meet Sandeep soooo many times this week. :D

2. Finally being able to spend some time with girls. I have been so tired of roaming around with just boys that I have been longing for girl company. I spent the entire Tuesday with Kanchan. We watched a movie - No One Killed Jessica; shopped in the malls and had lunch. We met again on Wednesday when we went to the temple, had dinner and took a long walk almost all around Nerul. :D :D :D

3. Going to the temple after almost ages. I think I should stop holding grudges, even with God. Or maybe I should just get off my lazy ass and do stuff. Yeah, I think it's the laziness. Sorry God. I'll be regular from now on.

4. Being able to experience authentic Italian food at 'Casa Mia' at R City Mall in Ghatkopar. Although Sandeep didn't like it much, I loved the Pizza. I also experienced a live band performing (at the same restaurant) for the first time in my life. The best part was that they started of with Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd and followed that with Lazarus by Porcupine Tree. They had passed a sheet containing the list of the songs they played that we had to select from and I requested a few. Lazarus was one of them. :)

(Tip for those living in Mumbai: Casa Mia has a live acoustic band playing on Fridays 9 PM onwards.)

5. Girl company again, on Saturday. One of my friends brought another friend along with us and I couldn't have asked for anything else. Even though I met her for the first time it was great. We got along pretty well and I'm looking forward to meeting her more. :)

Week 2: For the way the Universe Works

This week, I've got loads to be thankful for. I can't believe things have happened the way they have, but I'm not the one to question the Universe now, am I? So I'm just going to wholeheartedly accept what the Universe has given me this week and be grateful for it. :D :D :D

This week I'm thankful for..

1. The teaching I've been doing. I went back to class after a hiatus of almost two weeks. It was nice to be back in class with a chalk in one hand and having to struggle between holding the mic and a book in the other. :D :D

2. The extremely Love-ly week that I've had. It's awesome to have someone fall in love with you all over again every few months. It makes you feel all the more special. :D :D

3. These shoes.

I have Sandeep to thank for, for these shoes not the Universe. Unless, it was the Universe that made him buy those for me. :)

4. The way things have turned around; because as of 2010 they seemed to have reached the 'point of no return' (so to speak.) I had never thought it was possible and I had given up hopes and therefore the desire to make any effort. But it seems as if the Universe just wants it this way. And who am I to argue with the Universe?? One tiny little person! That's who! :P

5. Being able to be a part of one of my closest friend's engagement party. Here's the lovely couple. :)

Week 1: The Beginning

First of all, Happy New Year!!

I've had this blog for just about a year now and I know I started posting weekly (as opposed to daily) just two months ago. But it only seems right to start over in the new year. So here's to week 1 (although the first 5 days of the week were a part of 2010. But I'm not complaining. It was a great week.)

This week I'm thankful for...

1. Having mehendi (henna) on my hands after sooooo long. I was at a friends Mehendi function. And I know that the last time I attending a mehendi function, it was a disaster. So yeah! This one was a blast!!!! :)

2. Being able to re-connect with old friends. I made it a point to attend the wedding as well as all the pre-wedding functions. In doing so, I was able to meet and bond with a lot of people with whom I had lost touch. The conversations, the smiles, the laughs and everything else felt so good. I had a really great time those three days after a long time.

3. Being so caught up in the wedding celebrations the first three days of the week, that I didn't have time to think or sulk because there wasn't much else for me to do.

4. A great start to the New Year. I was with my closest friends (as always) and even though we were half the number of people that are usually present, it was great!

5. A wonderful weekend. After giving a grand welcome to 2011, we spend New Year's Day watching 'The Tourist' and then having a really late lunch. I spent the entire Sunday lazing around [I guess somethings won't change in the new decade. :P]
