Day 125: For my first CT Scan and Bouncing!

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Having a good hair day. I washed my hair and didn’t even wait for it to dry properly or set it because I was in such a rush to get out of the house and reach the hospital on time. Even then, my hair in the wet humid air turned out pretty great. Yay!
  1. Having my first experience of a CT Scan. I’ve had an MRI done before for my migraine and though this was similar, there were quite a few differences. For one, this machine automatically slid back and forth and elevated itself. But the main difference was the IV used to push some medicine into my veins (they pronounced it ‘dye’ and also called it ‘contrast’ not sure which one’s correct and I’m too lazy to check it out) and this medicine helped the doctors scan all the organs. There’s something you should know though. They tell you that you’ll feel a little warm when the medicine starts flowing inside your body, but warm is an understatement! Its hot and your entire abdomen feels hot and very close to being slightly burnt from within. Imagine going out in the scorching sun and being exposed directly to sunlight for at least a minute straight! But it’s not so bad that it becomes intolerable. It was a new experience for me and I’m happy about it.
  1. The sisterly afternoon I spent. My mom, Nattu and I; had all gone to the hospital from where my mom went to work and my sister and I came back home. But since we were supposed to be fasting since morning it was eleven thirty by then, we decided to have lunch and then go home. So we went from Breach Candy Hospital to McDonalds (second time in three days for me!) near V.T. Station and had a great time there!
  1. Being able to take a lecture today afternoon. I was dead tired – mostly by dehydration due to the heat; by the time I reached home and I had a lecture within an hour. But somehow I managed to get rejuvenated and was ready for a two hour session; my voice almost screeching and air coming out of my mouth instead of words by the end of it because I’d been teaching a little over four hours each day for the last two days. I have a break tomorrow, so my voice can rest. I’m happy for that in advance ;)
  1. Feeling like a five year old again. Our house has these very comfortable couches (so comfortable that I’ve slept on it for the last few nights) and the seat almost as a velvet cum spring effect. Nattu and I were doing our chores in the evening like folding the laundry, re-filling the water bottles, lighting the lamp in the temple, getting rid of the unnecessary mess around the house, etc. and of course we had music on! So we were working-cum-dancing and when we were done with the chores we sat down on the couch and were doing our hand movements while still sitting which suddenly turned to bouncing! And OH-MY-GOD it was so much fun. We suspended our legs parallel to the ground and had our arms out in the air and just continued bouncing on the springs and specially called our mom to see what we were doing. Her mouth turned a big “O” when she saw us! It was the most awesome childish fun I’ve had in a really long time!

Day 124: For Peaceful Sleep

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Waking up after a long and peaceful sleep after almost two weeks. The reason behind the wonderful sleep is that I got to sleep in my own bed after a really long time. The situation the past few weeks has been such that my sister (we share a room) can’t sleep with the AC on, as her throat gets affected very easily, and in this burning heat I can’t sleep with just the fan on. So I decided to sleep with my mom in her room since even she needs the AC but after three or four nights, I realized that I was uncomfortable in that room. I was getting weird dreams and restless sleep! So I decided to move out and settled for sleeping on the couch in the living room because if I had to sleep under the fan, the living room was a lot cooler than my bedroom. Fortunately yesterday night Natasha agreed to sleep in the hall because I had a lecture this morning and would need the room to get ready in and she didn’t want to be disturbed early on a Sunday. So I slept in my own bed and it was the most wonderful sleep I’ve had in weeks! :) :) :)
  1. Not having any special plans for a Sunday and being able to spend the whole day at home lazing around and watching TV with family. That’s how Sundays are supposed to be spent. We watched ‘Click’ starring Adam Sandler, then an episode of Scrubs (Season 8) on Star World, then we all took a break from TV and took a nap/browsed the internet and then watched 13 going on 30 in the evening. Anyone got any better ideas for a Sunday?? Even if you do, I'm sticking with mine!
  1. Realising that I’m addicted to Café World. I had to leave my house today at 7.45 AM for a lecture at 8 and I stilled logged on so that I could serve the completed dishes before they would get spoilt. At least I have goals! :P
That’s all for today folks. Didn’t have much to do, but with whatever little goodness I had in store for me today, it ended up being a pretty happy day! That’s all I’m asking for anyway. :)

Day 123: For Girl Company

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The alone time that I had in the afternoon. I had a great evening planned but had some time to spare before that and after the lecture. I hadn’t eaten much since morning so decided to grab a quick bite at McDonalds. I was barely there for about twenty minutes, but I liked being there by myself. I know it’s weird, but I’m not here to question things that make me happy, I’m just happy that I have things that do.
  1. The awesome girly time I spent in a really long time. My friend Deepali from dance classes and I went to this Home Décor exhibition at MMRDA grounds in Bandra-Kurla Complex and it was a fantabulous experience. Although everything exhibited there was way more expensive than I could ever imagine, it did give us some great ideas (and I can’t wait to implement them!)
  1. Finally being able to see the Bandra-Worli Sea link. I just saw it from afar when Deepali and I were in the cab going from the exhibition towards Linking road, but didn’t get to go on it. But considering that I’ve lived in Mumbai since forever and it was built almost a year ago, it was an achievement that I even saw it. Next stop, driving on it just for the heck of it!
 (Source)

  1. The awesome lukkhagiri (total time pass) that we did going to shops, checking things out, basically just roaming the streets and giving our eyes a treat looking at the good stuff that we wanted to buy.
  1. The ride in the AC bus back from Bandra till Vashi. I have traveled in the AC bus quite a few times before, but it was a first for her and she seemed so excited. That was enough to make me happy that I got to share her maiden journey!

Day 122: For a Wonderful Evening

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Immediate responses. Out of the 7-8 applications I sent out yesterday, I got a response from one, so far! It is a good sign. Nothing’s sure yet but still, it is something to be happy about.
  1. Having the opportunity to dress up (again) for the evening.
  1. A nice and early dinner at Pizza Hut and a good conversation; a great, cozy and chatty bus ride back home; a long walk along the streets of Vashi at ten thirty in the night (from the bus stop to where my bike was parked) and a bike ride in the cool weather (cool, when compared with the condition during the day .) I guess we could call it a date. :)
  1. Realizing that I still have a huge smile on my face.
  1. Knowing that the way things are, this smile’s always going to be a part of me! :D :D

Day 121: For having Something to Do

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Waking up cheerful in the morning after just a few hours of sleep for the third or fourth day in a row.
  1. Having yummy lunch to eat.
  1. Calls that last more than 10 minutes even when someone is in office.
  1. Having an agenda for the day. The alternate career plans I’ve been talking about; I finally took a step in that direction and sent out a few applications today. It took up most of the day, but its something that will give me the opportunity to do something that I’ll actually enjoy. So it was worth it!
  1. Being in a happy mood (as a result of #3 and #4 above) which was quite a change from the grumpy mood I’ve been in the past few days/weeks.

Day 120: For the Clouds Overhead...

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The long queue at the ticket counter at Andheri which was the reason I missed my direct train from Andheri to Nerul. But the good thing about that was I got to meet two of the girls I went to school with! And one of them I hadn’t seen for eight years; which means since the time I finished school. Now tell me, wasn’t that worth missing a train or two???
  1. For being silly and playing virtual games and actually enjoying them. I can’t seem to get enough of cooking and serving dishes, decorating and spicing others’ stoves at Café World; and accepting contracts and planning and maintaining my city in Social City. It’s really cool! And I’ve already reached level 8 on both the games. Yay!
  1. The clouds that have been protecting me for the last two days. Since it is end of May, the heat is at its peak (the funniest part is that whenever I mention the ‘peak’ of heat, it gets redefined a few days later when the temperature goes up by a few more degrees) it is the worst time to be travelling on a scooter. I have been having my lectures at around 12.30 in the afternoon which means I leave the house between 12 and 12.15 when the sun is directly above my head. My lectures got over by 2.30 and even then the sun was just as strong. But the clouds were on my side. The last two days whenever I stepped out in the sun, the clouds covered it the minute I was on the road as if the sound of the engine getting started was its cue.
  1. Randomly falling asleep anywhere and anytime. Believe me, there is nothing that compares to a sleep that you get when you actually want to sleep. I almost fell asleep sitting on the chair in front of my computer in the afternoon. I woke up suddenly to realize that I had to watch Castle and switched the TV on. The minute that got over at six, I switched it off and slept away right there on the couch! By the time I woke up, it was almost eight!
  1. Experiencing first hand that misunderstandings and fights only make the relationship stronger; however silly they may be. It feels great to just hold hands after you’ve been silent with each other for sometime. Bliss!!!

Day 119: For AS 512

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Seeing mirages. I know its not a big deal, but I always thought that mirages could be seen only in the desert. But apparently, the Palm Beach road falls in the same category because when I was driving to class today in the afternoon (exactly at noon actually) I thought I saw wet patches stretching across the width of the road but by the time I approached there, it was as if the road hadn’t felt the cold of water for years. I was excited when I realized what it was. It was good to see one of nature’s optical illusions.
  1. Being able to dress up. It was one of our friends’ birthdays and Sandeep and I, as usual met up about an hour earlier so that we could travel together till Andheri and talk. And given the way I am, I took the opportunity to dress up and go meet him. Actually, dress up just to meet him :)
  1. AS 512. No!! Not Accounting Standard 512!! God! Imagine if there were five hundred and twelve Accounting Standards! I’m talking about the bus route 512; the bus which goes from Nerul to Mulund which has now become AS 512 as it is now air-conditioned. Wow! I was so glad that my hair would not get messy in the heat and humidity because I had spent about a half hour ironing it just to look nicer. Plus, I was saved from the terrible heat.
  1. Being able to spend about an hour and a half in another AC bus from Mulund to Andheri where we talked, listened to music, pulled each others’ legs; basically spent quality couply time! It is at times like these that I absolutely love a traffic jam! Seriously!! :P
  1. Having a social evening with friends after a long time. It’s the only reason I like birthdays – because I get to meet all my friends; and oh! How could I forget this?? Also because I get to dress up!

Day 118: For Social City and Cafe World

Today I am thankful for…

  1. Having some alone time during the whole day where I got to read, browse the internet and relax at my own will.
  1. Not switching the TV on at all the whole day. It just proves that there are other and better ways to spend time than sitting on a couch in front of the idiot box; and they are – sitting on a couch and reading books, sitting on a chair in front of the computer and sometimes even lying down on the couch! :P
  1. Kane and Abel – a wonderful book written by Jeffrey Archer thirty years ago about two men born on the same day in two corners of the world; William Lowell Kane born in Boston, Massachusetts and Baron Abel Rosnovski born in Poland in 1906, how their paths cross and their mission to destroy each other. A very welcome change given the kind of books I was reading before this; the Twilight saga and then Dan Brown Books.
  1. What ma’am said to me today. This is going to be a little in detail, so please bear with me. Ever sine I started teaching with her, she has been training me. Whenever I start with a chapter I haven’t taught before, we sit together after I have prepared myself and present the chapter to her as I would present it in class just so she can give me tips as to how I could explain a concept better, giving me more examples to corroborate my point and telling me what I’m doing wrong and how to rectify it. These sessions have been very helpful because she has years of experience to share with me and I have just started. So anything that’ll ease the burden for me as a newcomer, has always been welcome from my side. One time she told me exactly what question a student would ask when I explained a certain point and how to tackle the questions because let’s face it, sometimes students ask questions just for the sake of argument; just sometimes.
So anyway, I am supposed to start off a new chapter for another batch – Inventory Valuation in Accounts. I studied that about six years ago when I was studying for my foundation level exams (then called PE 1 and now called CPT) and there’s some other professor who to teaches this. Since he is short of time and it is a very simple concept, ma’am asked me if I could teach it and I agreed. So we have scheduled a session for our discussion before I would actually teach it in class and ma’am told me that the other professor would also be there to give me pointers. Ma’am told me that he was worried if I would be okay with it because some teachers don't quite like it when others tell them how to teach even if the person giving advise is a teacher himself. She told me that she told him I was very receptive and open to help and went on to tell me that I am the only one on her staff who was open to suggestions for improvement.

I told her that when teachers with experience for so many years were willing to help me out, how could I not consider their advise or not implement it; especially when I was totally new to this. To this she said that it didn’t matter whether I was new to this or whether I had been doing this for long; it was all a question of what kind of an attitude a person had, that’s all. I didn’t try to be modest anymore and happily accepted the compliments. It meant a lot more to be because she’s the one who has taught me what I am teaching today. So yeah, a very detailed point but totally worth it and needless to say, it made my day!!! :D :D

  1. Social City and Café World – two of the many many virtual life games on Facebook that I absolutely detested the past few months but ended up playing the entire yesterday night and the whole day today, and I’ve got to admit I’m enjoying cooking and serving dishes, and building a city! It’s quite fun.

Day 117: For Sunday

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Knowing somewhere in my heart that in spite of the bad feeling that I’ve been having at the back of my mind for the past few days now, it is going to be fine. I just know it somehow and I’m glad about it, as otherwise there’s nothing to keep me going because even though everyone you love and who loves you are there to hold your back; unless you feel good about something yourself, there’s nothing anyone can do for you.
  1. Waking up in the morning these days even if is by force/compulsion. I’m still getting up early and I’m happy about that! :)
  1. The awesome Poha that I had for breakfast… ummm… Yummy! Especially with all the potatoes and groundnuts in it!
  1. A nice and cosy Sunday at home.
  1. Another day that has gone by without any trouble. :)

Day 116: For Star Movies

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The fact that my maid came back!! Since the summer holidays are on, our maid took leave for about two weeks to go visit her parents with her children and we couldn’t find another one while she was away. So we ended up doing all the washing and cleaning ourselves. We were expecting her Monday morning but were still doubtful if she would show up the day she said she would. I was tired of washing the vessels, sweeping the house and drying out clothes among other things and my health not being so great the past few days didn’t make it easier at all. So you can imagine how glad I was so see her today morning – two days earlier than she said she’d be back!!!!! Yippieeee!!! :)
  1. Finally being able to empty my book shelf! No, I didn’t give all my novels away; like I would ever do that!!! I… er… gave away all my CA books! Yup! Gave them away, got rid of them and never want to see them again. I have a friend who was an intern with me at Ernst & Young, and he studied from my books for his Intermediate exams and absolutely loved my notes and said he wanted my notes for CA Final as well. Since I don’t need ‘em anymore, I did a good deed by giving them away (brand new, almost totally unused text books too) for FREE! :D
  1. Good TV! Really, it was as if Star Movies knew that I wanted to watch something nice and they had the whole day planned for me. They showed Home Alone in the afternoon; followed immediately by The Proposal (and now I find even Ryan Reynolds cute!!!!) And how can I forget ‘Movie of the Month’ – Twilight!!!!!
  1. Finally being able to watch Twilight. I finished reading all four books in the series somewhere around March end/ April beginning of this year and really wanted to see the movies. I finally got to see Twilight tonight – the movie just got over actually. Have I mentioned that I was in love with Edward Cullen? I still am... kinda. ;)
  1. The lovely Stay-at-home Saturday! I never thought being at home on a weekend could be so entertaining and so much fun! But not every weekend, okay? ;)

Day 115: For the Joke of the Day

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The absence of electricity for about five whole hours in this God forsaken place which turned out to be a blessing because I got to read ‘Kane & Abel,’ which is a brilliant book by the way. I was reading ‘Shantaram’ but it is very slow; interesting nonetheless. I’ve decided to read it in parts because I can’t seem to enjoy the book for more than two hours at a stretch and it doesn’t make sense if I read it without interest. So I’m going to read it in between two books (a chapter or two) or at least that’s the plan.
  1. Being able to get back to work! I started teaching again today and the enthusiastic “Hi Ma’am” from the class crowd, made me feel even better.
  1. Realizing that dancing is not the only way to break a sweat and burn calories – sweeping the house does that too; does it real good – especially when you have about 1200 sq. ft. to sweep.
  1. Having someone back on Facebook after a dry spell of two and a half months to “like” and comment on my posts!!! Hahahaha… Glad to have you back Sandeep!
  1. The joke that my mom cracked today. I don’t know if it qualifies for a joke, but it make me and Natasha laugh really hard. I went to the doctor on Monday about my kidney stone and bladder problem, and I was supposed to buy my medicines Monday night and somehow forgot; don’t know how. So today my mom realized that and wanted to be angry at me and said, “You can’t do even one thing!! You are so self-centered, you only think about yourself!!”
How could I not laugh??? Just how??

Day 112: For a Happy Happy Day

Let’s just not talk about why I haven’t been posting here the past few days because that’s a loooong story will come up at my other blog. I wasn’t well and now I’m better. So I’m here! :) So let’s get down to being happy now, shall we?

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Waking up in the morning instead of the afternoon! After the hectic weekend that I had, it was a blessing to sleep so soundly even if it was for just seven hours and I had the whole day to look forward to. So sleeping till late wasn’t an option at all.
  1. Meeting Sandeep today after a gap of twenty six days. Exams got over yesterday and bam! He was here today! :D :D And I’m still all smiles!! :D :D :D
  1. Having Sandeep to accompany me as I ran errands like paying the electricity bill, getting some work at the bank done, etc. and for the lunch that we shared today while we watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
  1. Being able to talk face to face after so many days; it is a totally different feeling of being able to talk someone while they are in front of you.
  1. The dance class that I watched!!!!! Yes! I ‘watched’ my dance class today since I’m still having a bit of trouble with the stone in my kidney. So I ‘watched’ the class as they practiced and I gotta say; I loved the choreography!! Shiamak rocks!!! I just can’t wait to dance myself! :)

Day 100: For being alright

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Not fainting
  1. Not throwing up
  1. Being able to walk on my own.
  1. Being able to live through the pain in my stomach.
  1. Surviving the day without any major mishaps.
Simple and sweet, isn’t it?? :P

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Day 99: For 'Choco Pie'

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The lazy day that I had. I know I am supposed to be studying, but I’ve been sick the entire day. Not sick exactly; I’ve been feeling weak and my body has been hurting – from head to toe quite literally! So even though I wanted to do some studying because I have an exam on Friday, I couldn’t because my head was aching, I couldn’t sit straight because my back was aching, I couldn’t walk because my legs were aching. The good thing about all of this – I got to laze around and watch TV! :)
  1. The choco-biscuit called Choco Pie that I had today. They are this creamy and delicious round pieces of heaven. I’m not much of a sweet person, I felt amazing when I ate just one of those because I’ve been having curd rice (typically a south Indian staple diet) for the last two days because of my upset stomach. I love you Choco pie!

  1. The Lovely Blog award I received from Ratz. She’s been bestowing me with quite a few good things the past few days that I cannot not mention her. Thanks a lot sweetie! I’m supposed to pass the award on, but I need to be in better shape to do that. So will do it by this weekend (hopefully)
That’s all for today. I’m sick… It’s a wonder I had even three things to be thankful for in such a state! :P

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Day 98: For the Kidney Stone and the Gastro Enteritis.. Yeah.. Totally NOT kidding!

Today I’m thankful for…

  1. Discovering ‘Castle.’ It is this new series on Star World about a crime novel author Rick Castle and a female NYPD detective, Kate Beckette and how they solve crimes together. It is a nice show. I just saw it’s pilot episode today because they started airing it from Monday (I’m watching repeats… ) And I’m looking forward to loving it as much as I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S. or Desperate Housewives or How I Met Your Mother! :)
  1. Being taken care of from far far away even if it means talking over the phone to make me feel better. I have been experiencing some trouble the past couple of days and when I went to the doctor today morning, he told me that I may have a stone in my kidney and I would have to get a sonogram done just to be sure about what it is. I have had a stone before and that was painful. So this time if it is discovered early, it wouldn’t pain as much, maybe it wouldn’t pain at all. Also, I have had an upset stomach since afternoon which was diagnosed as gastro enteritis when I visited the doctor again in the evening. I have been highly dehydrated the whole day in spite of drinking gallons of water and have experienced giddiness. Two problems in one day??? I should be sulking, but no! This blog is all about being positive. So let’s talk about what good turned out of this… Believe me, if you really think about it, it did!!!
Through all this, I’ve had mom at home to take care of me, and Sandeep – more than 50 kilometers away, to make me feel better over the phone! See… Silver lining of the dark grey cloud! You have to reeeeealllly look for it!

  1. Realizing the importance of good health. Even the slightest hint of giddiness and weakness makes you realize the importance of having a strong and healthy body that doesn’t have to make an effort to take a few steps from the bathroom to your bed just so you can lie down again.
  1. The lovely blog post written by Ratz for me… So that I can get well soon! I loved it!!! And as she mentioned, I’m going to kick that stone out, if there even is one!!! ;) Once again, thank you girl! :D
And I guess that’s it for today. Oh! I missed my dance class today because what’s the point in going there just to rush to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes when I can do that in the comfort of my own home and avoid embarrassment! ;)

I’m all about finding the silver lining in pretty much everything today! Hahahahahaha…

Day 97: For a Good First Paper

Today I’m thankful for…

  1. The one and a half hours that I spent before the exam discussing accounting for Amalgamation transactions. It felt good to hear his voice just a few hours before the exam and that too for an hour and a half even if it meant discussing studies.
  1. Being able to save Rs. 200 in plumber service charges. The flush tank in our bathroom has been leaking when it refills because something that controls how much of water is supposed to be fill in was a little loose. This had happened before, and I had seen the plumber come in and turn one tiny screw like thing with just his thumb and one other finger. I was so tired to having to wait for the flush tank to refill after I was done using the toilet that I decided to do something about it. I opened the flush, examined it for a few minutes and turned the knob in both directions to see which one worked better. It took five minutes, but I eventually figured it out, thereby saving the Rs. 200 that the plumber would have charged for just turning a knob! Bah!
  1. Being able to write a good first paper. During the last two attempts, the Accounts papers have been exceptionally tough (not that the CA Institute is known for being very kind and gentle during examinations – people have seen worse.) But this time the paper was fairly easy – standard pattern, so I guess both of us are going to score well, in this paper at least. :) We will know about the other papers when we write them. So far, so good.
  1. The fact that when I was teaching the intermediate level, two of the chapters that I taught were; Investment Accounting – AS 13 (as a part of accounts) and Construction Costing – AS 7 (as a part of costing.) These two are fairly easy Accounting Standards, so no one bothers to go through them in detail. We had a four mark question on each of these standards and only because I had taught both of these in class, I was able to answer the questions perfectly even though it was months ago that I had actually read these! Thanks Ma'am for letting me teach these!!!! :)
Too much of technicality for one day I guess… :P

  1. The wonderful sleep that I got after my exam! Ah… Bliss! :)

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Day 96: For Waking Up!

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. Waking up when I did. You know; sometimes terrible things happen in life and we end up wishing it were all just a nightmare and we’d wake up any instant? Sometimes we do wake up, and sometimes we don’t. I had such a nightmare where I dreamt that I’d lost him – forever. I remember being hysterical in the dream, my tears just waiting to burst out of my eyes and wanting to scream till my lungs burst, just wishing that things hadn’t happened the way they did. That ache in the pit of my stomach and the choking feeling of losing someone you love was so real, that it was hard to think of it as a dream because touch wood; I haven’t yet lost someone close to me. Thank God my mother yelled at me to wake up! I’ve never been so happy about being yelled at! :) And the first thing that I did when I woke up? I called him and cried out of relief, knowing that he was alright.
Moving on to things that have happy beginnings too…

  1. The three awesome silk sarees that got handed down to me from my mother – beautiful, gorgeous ones.
  1. A wonderful lunch and the beautiful quiet evening that I had at home.
  1. The innovative words used by Sandeep to express his feelings. He said, You are…
The Queen of my Heart
The Love of my Life
The Princess of my Castle (okay.. a little innovative.. and the best phrase of the lot!!!)
And now the real innovation starts... :D
Like…The Sachin of Indian Cricket team (Sachin being the best cricketer!)
The AS-1 of Accounting Standards (I don’t think AS-1 is any good, but it is the first among all the AS’s.)
The iPod of all MP3 players (Coz iPod is the best of all the MP3 players)
The Adam Gilchrist of all left handed batsmen (Adam Gilchrist is his favorite cricketer because even he bats left handed)
The “Matrix” of all English movies (Matrix is his favorite English movie)
The “Mitsubishi” of all Pens. (Mitsubishi is his favorite pen to write with, but I think that was obvious by now…)

What more does a girl want??? I don’t even need a #5 today! I’m THAT happy. But I do have #5.

  1. The awesome pre-exam discussions and the fact that I could ease his nervousness with my chilled out and more-than-required casual attitude. After all, what’s the point of being together if we can’t conquer each others’ weaknesses with our strengths?
I had a happy Sunday!! Did you? :)

Day 95: For "Love Sex Magic"

Don’t let your imaginations run wild… I mean the song ‘Love Sex Magic’ :P No, really! So, let me not waste anytime and get on to do what I'm supposed to do here.

Today, I am thankful for…

  1. The voice I woke up to in the morning. Actually, technically the first voice I heard in the morning was my sister’s. I got up to go to the bathroom and someone was in there. When I asked her if it was her, she said yes! Damn! :( But that’s not what I’m talking about. I meant the other voice that I heard. I had a sleepy head phone conversation at about eight forty five when I had been asleep for barely four hours. Even then, it was one of the best conversations I’ve had!!! :) I went back to sleep for another four hours after I hung up! :P
  1. The yummy lunch that I had – rasam, rice and beans!!! Wow! Lunches are always good on the days mom is at home!!
  1. The song ‘Love Sex Magic’ by Ciara feat. Justin Timberlake; that we danced to today in class. It is such a peppy number, that I still can’t stop humming the tune. I have yet to learn its lyrics though. I’m sure I’ll know them by the end of this week! ;)
  1. Mom being at home. I was tired when I came back from dance class and I wanted to eat something nice, tangy and spicy. So I suggested paneer (cottage cheese) garnished with spices and chilli powder and microwaved!! And by the time I was out after my bath, tiny steaming hot pieces of the pseudo starter were there for me to savor. :D
  1. The patience that I’ve had. It bore fruit almost six months ago in the form of me finally being with Sandeep after having feelings for him for almost fourteen years; but today is one of those days where I am thankful to have him as a part of my life. No reason in particular, but just glad that things worked out the way they did. Oh! And this could also be considered as the Love and Magic part from the title. It totally fits!
